A reference OPAC redesign — fast, mobile and on-brand.

The challenge: KAIPTC's online catalogue was dated and hard to use on phones, with no discovery features to surface its collection on peace, security and beyond.

What we did

Rebuilt the Koha OPAC with a mobile-first, branded design
Added live New Arrivals, Most Borrowed and Featured carousels
Installable PWA with an 'Ask a Librarian' WhatsApp channel
Established it as the reusable template for our wider rollout

The result

A modern catalogue carrying the KAIPTC crest and colours
The reference design now replicated across other institutions
Faster discovery on any device

University of Energy & Natural Resources

DSpace 7→8 migration, live on the university's own domain.

The challenge: UENR needed to upgrade an ageing DSpace 7 repository and consolidate it onto a single official university domain without losing content or breaking links.

What we did

Migrated the repository from DSpace 7.6 to DSpace 8
Applied a custom university theme — crest, colours and hero
Cut over to space.uenr.edu.gh with 301s from the old host
Runs on shared, efficiently-managed DSpace infrastructure

The result

A live, modern open-access repository on the university's domain
Theses, dissertations and research output preserved
Old URLs redirect cleanly to the new home

The challenge: GIMPA wanted a branded, discoverable home for its research and institutional knowledge on modern repository software.

Deployed DSpace 8 with a bespoke GIMPA crest theme
Single-domain setup on managed infrastructure
Open-access discovery and full-text search
