We power the libraries behind Ghana's institutions
DotCode Ghana Limited is a Ghana-based technology company specialising in library automation, digital repositories and education technology.
From a single catalogue to a managed platform
DotCode Ghana started by modernising library catalogues for Ghanaian institutions. Today we operate a fleet of branded Koha online catalogues, DSpace research repositories and the Makainda School eBook Library — all from a single management platform that automatically discovers and monitors every instance we run.
Our work spans peacekeeping and military colleges, universities, medical schools and basic schools. Whatever the institution, the goal is the same: get their collections online beautifully, reliably and on their own brand — and keep them running.
We handle the unglamorous parts too — servers, SSL, backups, monitoring, migrations and renewals — so librarians and faculty can focus on their readers and researchers.
Principles that shape every project
Open standards first
We build on Koha and DSpace — proven open-source platforms — so institutions own their data and avoid proprietary lock-in.
Design that respects the brand
Every catalogue and repository carries the institution's own crest, colours and domain. No two of our sites look alike.
Reliable, secure hosting
Managed VPS, HTTPS, automated backups, monitoring and security hardening — we treat uptime and data safety as the product.
One accountable partner
From scoping to migration to day-2 support, you work with one team that already runs dozens of live instances.
